In the beginning were Salukis, cross-stitched on denim.
And they called it Saluki Blues.
Next came the upholsteries, tapestry and chenille to name but two.
They were soon joined by brilliant brocades, genuine leather, and a whole host of cotton prints & batiks.
Together they created handbags, pillows, wall art, jackets, belts and more, each one-of-a-kind piece made unique by an ever increasing treasury of cross-stitched and embroidered designs.
If you have a fancy or fetish you would like to see incorporated into an artful accessory or item for the home, I would love to hear from you.
This web site is in its initial construction phase, finally! Efforts are being made to present you with our entire spectrum as soon as possible. To that end, you will see photos of previously sold works as well as a few currently available pieces. If you have previously purchased from Saluki Blues at a show or by word of mouth, you know that each item is individually designed and crafted, which has left little time for developing a web site. I appreciate the many inquiries into when this might happen and hope you will return and tell your friends once everything is in place. Until the site-based email is activated, please direct any questions to SalukiBlues@comcast.net. Thank you!
